The Sonus
Quartet were formed during the St Endellion Music Festival
in 2001. The members of the Quartet are all graduates from
the Royal College of Music. They have received coaching
from the Amadeus, Allegri and Chillingrian Quartets, and
have been involved in numerous chamber festival and
competitions; most recently the Internationale Festival
D’Art Lyrique, the Aberdeen Music Festival and The
Cheltenham International Festival of Music.
Individually,
the girls all pursue busy freelance careers and have
worked with many of the major British Orchestra, including
the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Halle, Liverpool
Philharmonic, English Symphony Orchestra, English Sinfonia,
the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Scottish Opera.
Sonus
regularly perform at weddings, Corporate Events and
functions throughout the UK and are also in demand for
session work. They recently completed a series of
recordings within the Pop field and have taken a residency
with the National Gallery. |
